According to ancient teachings, the human body contains centers of spiritual energy known as chakras, with the Kundalini energy resting at the base of the spine in the Muladhara chakra. This energy is said to rise up to the Sahasrara chakra, located at the crown of the head, where it unites with the Shiva principle.
